RUN FOR PEACE

The first event of my life which made me feel proud like a rising sun, spreading its light  is marathon'09.Well its all started on a day where my pals approached with idea of marathon.we proposed our theme to be "fight against terrorism".we rose high in our spirits for this contribution to the human kind.Day by day we became more captivated to our event crossing every barrier to achieve our goal. The event was getting fame and great response which made whole team to get themselves lost in vicinty of worldly peace.15 days and nights uff!!! most memorable of my life just passed like breeze carrying away all the past and delivering a new thought every day. We got tuned into a new citizens , a whole new crew was arose fighting for a cause, a fight for survival of the human kind. "Non cooperation with the evil is a sacred duty" a gandhian principle struck deep in me. this made a big difference and new approach to our life. Desperation for peace in the world flattered in front of our eyes. finally the night  before event everyone set off with their work just few hours left to be flagged of the biggest event. We had a crew which went along track for the check and banners to be pinned , another set off for painting work to be done for the track , some busy arranging the counters in the morning . some for arranging check points , everyone had fingers crossed for the event . Time rolled on it was 6 in morning , we could see people walking towards us to get enrolled for the event. few minutes we had large crowd of more than thousand busy preparing themselves to run. we decided to flag off at 6.30 , we could see whole crowd align themselves to take off . Well it was set off , it was like water rushing out a dam which made us feel like everyone were shouting our spirits never die , we will stop this barbaric bloodshed , we fight for our existence. It was very blissful to see crowd rushing on street with a will to stop this inhuman act.It was 3 hrs more than 500 completed 14 km run showing their fighting spirits. We finally were proud of this event and so were all those who ran for peace..........
